Junior Construction Estimator

Job Summary
We are a family-owned drywall company looking for someone who can play a vital role in supporting our estimating division. This entry-level position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in cost estimation, project budgeting, and bid preparation. We are looking for a motivated person to learn commercial and residential estimating. You'll collaborate closely with senior estimators and project managers.No estimating experience required.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is comfortable with math and measurements
• Pays attention to detail
• Learns software quickly
• Can read plans or is willing to learn
• Is organized and dependable
• Wants to build a long-term career in construction

This position will train under experienced estimators and learn:

• Blueprint reading
• Material takeoffs
• Labor budgeting
• Bid preparation
• Drywall and framing systems
• Construction scheduling concepts

Ideal backgrounds may include:

• Construction field experience
• CAD/drafting classes
• Mechanical-minded work
• Engineering/construction students
• Project coordination
• Roofing/flooring/cabinet estimating

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
