Job Summary: We are looking for a curious, detail-oriented Junior Data Analyst to join our growing analytics team. In this role, you will help collect, clean, and analyze data to support business decisions across multiple departments. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their analytics career who is eager to develop their skills in a collaborative, data-driven environment.
Work Location:
This role follows our hybrid work model of four days in-office and one remote day per week at our corporate headquarters in Bonita Springs, FL, to support collaboration with the Data & Analytics team.
Note: We are currently only considering candidates located within commuting distance of Bonita Springs, FL.
Key Responsibilities:
- Query and extract data from relational databases using SQL to support reporting and analysis requests.
- Clean, validate, and organize datasets from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports using BI tools (Power BI or Tableau) for stakeholder use.
- Perform basic statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in business data.
- Translate analytical findings into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, operations, and products to align data outputs with business goals.
- Support ad hoc data requests and contribute to ongoing analytics projects.
- Leverage AI-assisted tools responsibly to accelerate reporting, summarize findings, and support data storytelling, while ensuring all outputs are validated for accuracy before sharing with stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Technical Skills
- SQL - Comfortable writing queries involving SELECT, WHERE, JOIN, GROUP BY, and aggregations.
- Excel / Google Sheets - Proficient with pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and basic formulas.
- Data Visualization - Familiarity with Tableau or Power BI; ability to build clear, readable dashboards.
- Data Cleaning - Experience identifying and handling missing values, duplicates, and inconsistencies.
- Statistics Fundamentals - Understanding of mean, median, distributions, and correlation.
Soft Skills
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain data findings simply.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical, structured approach to problem-solving.
- Intellectual curiosity and a genuine interest in working with data.
- Willingness to learn, take feedback, and grow in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to ask good clarifying questions and collaborate with stakeholders effectively.
Preferred Skills (Not Required)
- AI Literacy - Comfortable using AI-assisted tools (e.g., Copilot in Power BI, ChatGPT, or similar) to accelerate workflows such as writing queries, summarizing dashboards, and drafting reports; understands the importance of validating AI outputs for accuracy and applying responsible, ethical use standards.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure/Fabric or AWS, Google Cloud.
- Python or R (Basic) - Able to perform data cleaning and simple analysis using Pandas or equivalent libraries.
- Experience with version control tools like Git.
- Experience using project management or documentation tools (Asna, Jira or SharePoint).
- Domain knowledge in retail, finance, healthcare, or technology.
- A portfolio of personal or academic projects (e.g., Kaggle notebooks, GitHub repos, dashboards).
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Equivalent practical experience will also be considered, including certifications (e.g., Google Data Analytics, IBM Data Analyst) and demonstrated hands-on project work such as dashboards, portfolios, or GitHub repositories.
