Junior Equity Research Analyst

About the Role

A junior equity research analyst vacancy is now open at International Securities research department. The analyst will support senior analysts by performing foundational financial analysis, data collection, and research to help generate investment recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

• Data collection and analysis: Gather and interpret financial data from various sources, such as regulatory filings, company reports, and news sources.
• Financial modeling: Help in building and maintaining detailed financial models to forecast company performance, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and valuation metrics.
• Industry and market research: Monitor industry trends, competitive dynamics, and macroeconomic factors that affect companies within the assigned sector.
• Report writing: Draft sections of comprehensive research reports that summarize findings and support the investment thesis.
• Administrative tasks: Support senior analysts with daily tasks, such as morning news report, end of day market wrap report, creating charts, updating databases, and responding to ad-hoc requests.
• Communication support: Assist with presentations and internal communications for the sales, trading, and portfolio management teams.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field is typically required.
• 1-2 years of experience
• Technical skills:
• Financial modeling: Strong proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques, including Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), comparable company analysis, and precedent transactions.
• Financial software: Familiarity with Bloomberg Terminal,Refinitiv , or other financial databases is highly valued.
• Microsoft Excel: Advanced Excel skills for building and maintaining financial models.
• Microsoft PowerPoint: Advanced PowerPoint skills for building presentations.
• Analytical skills: Critical thinking and strong attention to detail are crucial for dissecting complex financial information and ensuring accuracy.
• Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication to clearly and concisely articulate complex financial concepts to both internal and external stakeholders.
