Invariant Corporation is seeking a motivated and technically minded Junior Field Service Representative to join our team. This is an entry‑level position ideal for candidates eager to build a career in field service engineering within the defense industry. The Junior Field Service Representative will work alongside experienced engineers to provide system maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and operational support on the Containerized Weapon System (CWS) deployed in multiple configurations both CONUS and OCONUS.

Duties Include:

  • Assist senior engineers in providing technical support to customers for operations and/or repair of machines.
  • Support the maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment under the guidance of experienced team members.
  • Assist with on-site emergency and preventative maintenance, repair, and installation of CWS in a 24/7 on-call environment.
  • Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks on containerized weapon systems.
  • Assist in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing system malfunctions and failures.
  • Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and system upgrades as directed.
  • Document maintenance actions, system performance, and any modifications made.
  • Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to improve system reliability and performance.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • High school diploma or GED required. An Associate's degree or technical certification in electronics, electrical/mechanical engineering technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • 0-2 years of experience in system support, maintenance, or a related technical field. Recent graduates and transitioning military personnel are encouraged to apply.
  • Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems and principles.
  • General knowledge of electronics, computers, and the operation of computers utilizing the Windows operating system.
  • Willingness to deploy and live in OCONUS locations while providing support to the CROWS.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent military experience.
  • Experience with military weapon systems or similar defense technology.
  • Past military service is a plus but is not required.

Requires ability to:

  • Work well in a small, fast-paced and mission-driven environment with co-workers, management, and client.
  • Demonstrate innovation, quick learning, excellent communication skills and adaptive thinking.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, making rational decisions, and exercising good judgment is essential.

Work Environment

  • Office, lab, field, and machine shop environments. This role requires travel up to 50%, including international travel. Must be available for on-call duty and extended travel in support of mission requirements. Able to deploy to OCONUS locations.

Attendance

  • Normal workweek is Monday through Friday.
  • Support will be provided as needed during this time frame, but small efforts may be required at any time to support operations.
