Through its website, social media platforms and industry events, it delivers daily news, insightful reports, thought leadership features and networking events.

About the role

Connecting Travel is looking for a skilled, detail-oriented News Reporter to support our team in producing compelling, accurate and timely content across our digital platforms. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy with social media skills and a passion for B2B travel journalism.

Responsibilities

• Monitor industry news and flag relevant developments and leads
• Liaise with local travel brands to source information and images
• Write daily breaking news stories and features
• Produce content for the social media platforms
• Monitor content metrics and compile analytics reports
• Build daily newsletters (on Pardot/Affino)
• Sub-edit copy to ensure accuracy, clarity and correct house-style
• Assist in the management of contact databases and mailing lists

Qualifications

• Degree in journalism, media, communications or a related field
• Excellent written English and sub-editing skills
• Interest in travel and business journalism
• Proficient in digital publishing tools (e.g. Affino or similar CMS)
• Proficient in image editing tools (e.g. Canva, Photoshop)
• Proficient in social media best practices
• A can do attitude and willingness to pitch in across multiple projects
