Overview
George Salinas Injury Lawyers is a San Antonio-based plaintiff firm that has recovered over $500 million for clients in serious injury and commercial cases, led by Board-Certified trial attorney George Salinas and ranked among Texas’ top verdict winners. We are seeking a newly barred or 0–2 year Texas-licensed attorney for a true entry-level, mentorship-driven training role that guarantees a 37.5-hour week and genuine work-life balance. Under close senior-attorney guidance you will learn full pre-litigation ownership using firm templates and checklists: client intake reviews, liability/damages investigations, medical-treatment monitoring, demand-package drafting, adjuster negotiations, litigation turnover packets, and light supervision of 3+ damages coordinators. Bilingual Spanish/English fluency required. This structured role caps stress and hours while keeping you on pace toward senior responsibility. Monday–Friday in-office, full medical paid by employer. Dental, vision, and 401(k) offered. $80,000 base + performance incentives (typically $15,000+). M/F in office, 37.5 hour work week (afterhours requirements are rare exceptions)

Job Summary:

The Junior Pre-Litigation Attorney role is a structured, mentorship heavy training role designed for newly barred or 0- 2 year attorneys who want genuine work-life balance while learning personal-injury pre-litigation in a supportive team environment. This role will learn to assume full command of each case from the moment of acceptance, directing a meticulous intake process, leading comprehensive liability and damages investigations, curating optimal medical treatment pathways, crafting authoritative high value policy-limit demand packages, and executing sophisticated negotiations with insurance adjusters to extract maximum pre-suit recoveries and strategically position unresolved claims for litigation dominance.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Direct detailed liability and damages investigations to include other commercial evidentiary investigations by utilizing firm templates.

· Observe and monitor medical treatment plans and updated case notes based on contact with providers and clients.

· Draft high value policy-limit and demands with medical chronologies, associated records, and visual aids based on firm protocols.

· Learn to negotiate directly with insurance adjusters to secure top-dollar settlements or force litigation when offers are inadequate.

· Transition files to litigation team with comprehensive turnover memos and trial-ready packets.

· Supervise and delegate daily to assigned support staff.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Ability to learn effective negotiation skills.

· Solid writing ability for demand packages.

· Empathy and bilingual (Spanish/English) fluency to connect instantly with South Texas clients.

· Extreme organization to juggle active files without dropping deadlines.

· Proficiency with Salesforce, Litify, or similar PI case-management software.

· Alignment with firm values: respect, selflessness, empathy, integrity, humility, and excellence.

Education and Experience:

· J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

· Active membership in the Texas Bar.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· Supervise, mentor, and hold accountable a dedicated team of 3+ damages coordinators; conduct weekly pipeline reviews, audit client communication logs, and provide real-time feedback to ensure every file meets or exceeds the firm’s pre-suit settlement metrics and moves seamlessly to litigation when necessary.

Physical Requirements:

· Office Environment: Primarily sedentary work performed in a professional office setting. The role requires in-person attendance M-F with limited remote options.

· Sitting/Stationary Position: Ability to remain seated for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours daily) while managing and reviewing case files on a computer.

· Computer Use: Frequent use of a keyboard, mouse, and dual monitors; repetitive hand/wrist motions for typing and data entry.

· Occasional Travel: Local travel on rare occasion when necessitated by client.

· Visual Acuity: Close vision and ability to read fine print on paper and screens for prolonged periods.
