Role Overview
We are seeking a Junior SEO Content Strategist who understands not just traditional SEO, but the evolving landscape of AI-powered search, semantic search, and NLP-driven content optimization. This role blends research, strategy, and hands-on content execution to help us build high-performing organic content that is aligned with user intent and the way modern search systems understand information.
You will work closely with the marketing, product, and content teams to develop content strategies that improve visibility, authority, and organic acquisition across traditional search engines and emerging AI-driven platforms.
Key Responsibilities1. SEO & Content Strategy
- Conduct keyword, topic, and entity research using modern SEO tools (e.g., Ahrefs, SEMrush, Surfer, Google Search Console).
- Map content to user intent across the buyer journey with clear SEO goals.
- Develop content briefs rooted in semantic SEO, topical authority, and entity-based optimization.
- Build internal linking strategies based on knowledge graph principles and content clusters.
2. AI Search & Semantic Optimization
- Stay updated on the evolution of search from traditional keyword indexing to AI search, LLM-based ranking, SGE, and conversational retrieval systems.
- Apply NLP concepts (entities, relationships, context, search intent classification) to optimize content.
- Optimize for AI Overviews, featured snippets, zero-click search, and voice search.
- Use AI tools to analyze competitor content, semantic gaps, and concept relevance.
3. Content Production & Collaboration
- Create and refine SEO-optimized content (blogs, landing pages, guides, microcopy) based on briefs and semantic frameworks.
- Work with designers, editors, and subject-matter experts to execute content that is accurate, useful, and engaging.
- Review and edit content to ensure alignment with SEO best practices and brand voice.
- Optimize existing content through refreshes, pruning, entity enrichment, and UX improvements.
4. Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Track content performance KPIs (rankings, impressions, clicks, conversions, engagement).
- Conduct SEO audits and recommend improvements based on data insights.
- Monitor indexation, crawl health, and technical blockers with support from the technical SEO team.
- Provide monthly reports and recommendations based on performance trends.
Qualifications & SkillsRequired
- 1–2 years of experience in SEO or content marketing (internships/freelance acceptable).
- Strong understanding of how search works, including ranking factors, crawlability, and on-page optimization.
- Familiarity with the evolution of SEO → AI Search systems, especially semantic search and NLP.
- Ability to conduct keyword/topic/entity research and translate findings into actionable content plans.
- Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
- Proficiency with core SEO tools: Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs/SEMrush, and NLP/semantic tools (Surfer, Neuron, Clearscope, etc.).
Nice to Have
- Basic understanding of knowledge graphs, embeddings, and how LLMs interpret content.
- Experience using AI tools for research, content planning, or optimization.
- Familiarity with schema markup and structured data.
- Understanding of CRO, UX writing, and landing-page optimization.
