GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Founded in 1991 in Istanbul, METSAN Industrial Adhesives operates in the fields of high-performance engineering adhesives, chemical anchor systems, and anaerobic sealing technologies.

From our 8000 m² production facility in Tuzla, we supply more than 60 countries with certified high-performance anchoring solutions.

We are looking for a Junior Structural Testing Engineer (Anchors & Fasteners) to be trained and employed in our Anchor Systems Structural Testing & Certification Laboratory , where ETA/EAD-based mechanical tests and structural performance evaluations of anchors and fasteners will be carried out.

This is a hands-on structural/mechanical testing role—not a chemistry laboratory position.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Materials Engineering (other engineering fields are not considered for this role),

• Excellent command of English (written and spoken) is required,

• High interest in structural behaviour, anchors, fasteners, concrete performance and European assessment standards,

• Willingness to learn EAD 330499, EN 1992-4, ISO/EN test procedures and ETA certification workflows,

• Strong analytical thinking and ability to interpret mechanical test data,

• High attention to detail and disciplined documentation/reporting skills,

• Comfortable working in a mechanical testing environment (load frames, fixtures, crack-movement rigs, etc.),

• Good communication skills and willingness to work with structural engineers, technicians and certification bodies,

• Preferably residing in Tuzla, Pendik, Kartal, Sultanbeyli, Gebze or Çayırova .

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Assist in performing mechanical tests on anchor systems and fasteners (tension, shear, seismic, creep, crack-movement, freeze–thaw and other structural test conditions),

• Support test setup preparation: anchor installation, concrete specimens, fixtures, and instrumentation,

• Record, organize and manage the raw test data generated during experiments,

• Prepare draft technical reports in English based on test results, charts, photos, and structural observations,

• Learn and assist with ETA/EAD certification documentation , communication with Notified Bodies, and preparation of assessment files,

• Support equipment operation and maintenance: load frames, hydraulic systems, instrumentation and measurement devices,

• Follow laboratory safety and equipment calibration procedures,

• Contribute to continuous improvement of structural test workflows and internal standards,

• Collaborate with the R&D and Engineering teams to ensure the structural validation of METSAN anchor systems.

ROLE SUMMARY

This position is designed for a junior engineer who will be trained in:

• Structural testing of anchors & fasteners

• European Technical Assessment (ETA/EAD) processes

• EN/ISO/ACI structural test procedures

• Technical reporting in English

• Operation of high-capacity anchor test rigs and measurement systems

The selected candidate will play an active role in the structural validation and certification of METSAN’s anchoring products.
