Position Summary
The Kindergarten Mother Teacher will provide a nurturing, engaging, and language-rich environment for young learners. The teacher will focus on phonics, spoken English development, and foundational literacy, along with emotional care and holistic growth.
Responsibilities
- Teach systematic phonics including sound recognition, blending, segmenting, and early reading readiness.
- Use clear, fluent English and near-native accent to support correct language exposure for students.
- Conduct engaging activities such as rhymes, storytelling, reading circles, and sound games.
- Create a warm, child-friendly environment that supports emotional and social development.
- Provide individual attention to children needing extra support in phonics or pronunciation.
- Maintain discipline using positive reinforcement methods suitable for young learners.
- Ensure safety, hygiene, and well-being of children at all times in the classroom.
- Prepare worksheets, activities, lesson plans, and teaching aids for early literacy development.
- Maintain student records, phonics progress charts, and learning portfolios.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding progress, behaviour, and language development.
- Conduct PTMs and share guidance for home practice in phonics and reading.
- Collaborate with co-teachers, English coordinators, and curriculum teams for lesson planning.
- Participate in training sessions related to phonics, accent enhancement, and early childhood pedagogy.
- Support school events, celebrations, assemblies, and competitions as required.
- Maintain professional behaviour, punctuality, and consistent use of English during classroom sessions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B.Ed./NTT/ECCEd preferred).
- IELTS/Trinity certified/C.E.F.R/TOEFL/NAPLAN Certification demonstrating strong English proficiency and pronunciation clarity.
- Experience in phonics teaching or early childhood education preferred.
- Ability to use near-native English accent effectively.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
