Kitchen Associate / Kitchen Operations Team Member

Job Description:
We are seeking two reliable and organized Kitchen Associates to support daily kitchen operations to ensure everything runs smoothly during event schedules and operations at the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC). This role includes assisting with product management, maintaining cleanliness and organization, supporting food preparation, and ensuring smooth operational transitions during scheduled shows and events.

About our company:

We operate high-volume food concession stands and mobile food carts for events and shows at the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC). This is not a traditional restaurant kitchen environment. Most menu items are easily prepped and are heated and maintained according to health and safety standards using steamers, hot boxes, refrigerators, and freezers.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable managing inventory, maintaining cleanliness and health code standards, coordinating deliveries, and keeping products properly stocked and organized throughout shows and transition periods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and organize truck deliveries
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation standards
• Monitoring inventory levels across refrigerators, freezers, and dry storage
• Monitor and manage product during show transition periods
• Assist with food preparation and light cooking duties
• Coordinate and assist staff with product movement and organization as needed
• Support overall kitchen operations to ensure efficiency during busy event schedules

Qualifications:

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Ability to work independently and manage operational priorities
• Leadership skills and the ability to coordinate with staff
• Flexible availability based on OCCC event schedules
• Some spanish would be preferred
