Overview

Morning Star Restaurant is looking for a responsible and efficient Dishwasher / Kitchen Helper to support the smooth operation of our kitchen. The ideal candidate will maintain high cleanliness standards, assist with food preparation, and help ensure a safe and organized kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, utensils, glassware, pots, and pans.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, counters, floors, and workstations.
• Operate and maintain dishwashing machines and cleaning tools safely.
• Assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks such as washing vegetables, chopping ingredients, and portioning items.
• Organize and store clean dishes and kitchen tools properly.
• Take out trash, clean waste bins, and maintain hygiene in dishwashing and prep areas.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Support kitchen operations during busy periods.

Skills & Qualifications

• No prior experience required; training will be provided.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Physical ability to stand for long hours and handle lifting tasks.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
