Position Summary
The Kitchen Technician cum General Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing kitchen equipment, as well as handling general facility maintenance across Capital Motion’s venues. This dual-role ensures all technical systems—from kitchen appliances to building infrastructure—are operating safely, efficiently, and in compliance with health and safety standards. The technician supports both guest-facing and back-of-house operations, contributing to a smooth and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance & Repair
- Respond promptly to repair requests from staff and guests, resolving issues efficiently.
- Perform preventive maintenance on kitchen equipment, tools, and mechanical systems, including cleaning and lubrication.
- Inspect tools, equipment, and machinery to identify potential issues.
- Test, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and kitchen equipment.
- Replace light bulbs, A/C filters, switches, outlets, and other minor components.
- Conduct minor carpentry, drywall, painting, and surface repairs.
- Program TVs and assist with internet device troubleshooting.
- Operate and maintain landscaping and irrigation systems, including sprinkler repairs.
Facility Operations
- Identify and operate shut-off valves and utility controls for buildings.
- Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies; request replenishments as needed.
- Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures before performing maintenance work.
- Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts using approved tools.
- Use computers or maintenance systems to enter and locate work-related information.

- Report maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, or injuries immediately.
- Complete required safety training and certifications.
- Store flammable and hazardous materials properly.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance and adhere to uniform standards.
- FACP inspection and reporting and contact the respective contractor.
- Natural gas panel and meter inspection and reporting and contact respective the contactor for rectification.
- Water meter monthly inspection and submitting the reading report.
Guest Service & Teamwork
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
- Anticipate and address guest needs, including assisting individuals with disabilities.
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
- Support team members to achieve common goals and maintain a positive work environment.

Physical & Environmental Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and move quickly for extended periods.
- Lift, carry, and transport items up to 50 kg independently.
- Perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and climbing stairs.
- Manual dexterity to handle tools, equipment, and materials.
- Able to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to heat, sun, and beachside conditions.

Qualifications & Skills
· Diploma or certification in Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, or Refrigeration Engineering.
· Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar role within hospitality or F&B.
· Experience with commercial kitchen equipment and general building systems.
· Familiarity with UAE safety regulations and hospitality maintenance standards.
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
· Good communication and teamwork abilities.
· Basic computer skills for logging maintenance activities.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under pressure.
