Laboratory Support Technician

Michelson Laboratories, Inc. is a Food and Environmental Testing laboratory in City of Commerce that is rapidly growing. We have a wide range of internal laboratories, including Microbiology, Chemistry, Instrumentation, Entomology, Environmental, and Proximate. Michelson Laboratories, Inc. is a top-tier Testing laboratory that has assembled a renowned team of scientific experts and is well known within the scientific community and food industry. Michelson Laboratories, Inc. is making a major commitment to expanding its professional team. We are looking for a full-time and part-time experienced Laboratory Support Technician to assist in our Chemistry department. The position works closely with the Lab Managers to ensure fast turn-around time and high-quality service.

Responsibilities for Laboratory Support Technician:

• Preparing samples for analysis by homogenizing food products using robot coupes and blenders
• Perform sample extractions and titrations, as needed
• Weighing samples for analysis
• Sample Disposition
• Wash and clean glassware and lab equipment
• Must be able to lift 10lbs with each hand and pick up to 50lbs
• Ability to stand/walk 100% of the time
• Keep the sample preparation room, washroom, and equipment clean and organized
• Able to work under a fast-pace environment
• Other duties as needed

Qualifications for Laboratory Support Technician:

• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction and able to adjust workload based on upon changing priorities.
• B.S. or A.S in Chemistry, Food Science, or closely related field preferred
• Capacity for lifting-up to 50 lbs, reaching, bending, and twisting.
• Have flexible availability, and a positive attitude.
• Must be able to work efficiently
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Able to work overtime

This is a full-time position. Starting at $19/hr.
