- Carrying out testing and calibration/verification activities
- Performing phlebotomy for the patients coming to AVM LABS
- Laboratory Technician has to give proper instructions related to test requested to the patient whenever needed.
- Preparing test samples and request forms for outsourcing purpose.
- Should perform all activities in the section under the guidance of Lab director / Quality Manager/ Technical manager.
- Performing the tests as per the standard operating procedures which has been documented and is available for use.
- Lab technician can report on all the routine Biochemistry / Hematology / Serology / Clinical pathology
- Review the test reports by comparing with the expected values; check the integrity of data entry and calculations if any.
- All the reports with flagging/disputed reports are to be released as per QSP document pertaining to ‘Release of Results’.
- Review and communication of all critical value as per procedure documented in QSP.
- The technician must be aware of the relevant documents available in the laboratory so as to maintain the expected standard of the company.
- Correct and initial any incorrect data records, maintain the same in the amended record file.
- Check the reliability of results by examining data, statistical analysis of data and results from repeat tests or duplicate samples if any.
- Check that estimates of uncertainty are reasonable and consistent with the test method.
- The lab technician can authorize the reports if he/she feels that the reported procedure meets all the requirements of the standards which is expected of the institution.
- All the critical values must be reported and authorized only according to the Critical value reporting protocol mentioned in the QSP.
