Lab Technician

As a Lab Technician, you could work in a manufacturing laboratory environment that stays in sync with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP). Also, you will execute analytic work (instrumental and wet chemistry) to the quality and product development work of Natural Derivatives (peel oils, fruit aromas, flavors and essences).

Responsibilities

• Run instrumental analysis routines (GC, GC/MS, density, optical rotation, refractive index)
• Run wet chemistry tests (titrations mainly) for other physico-chemical determinations
• Ensure that results are accurate and delivered in a timely fashion
• Maintain lab equipment and supplies in good order

Preferred Qualifications

Education:

• Preferably have a B.S. Chemistry or Microbiology
• Experience working in analytical lab
• Instrumental analysis (gas chromatography)
• Student pursing University Degree in Science field will be considered

We believe you will be an excellent fit here if you:

• Have Computer literacy sufficient to use standard software (MS Office) as well as the ability to learn specific software and instrumentation.
• Possess experience and knowledge of basic laboratory operations such as weighing, titrating, and preparing volumetric solutions.
• Interpret analytical method procedures and safety instructions using standard chemistry terms and measures.
• Perform routine calculations pertaining to analytical chemistry (e.g. dilution, concentration, test results).

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
