Lab Technician I, Early Phase Clinical Research – Dallas, TX

Join one of the world’s largest Clinical Research Organizations and play a key role in advancing new medical treatments. Our Early Phase Unit is seeking a Lab Technician to support healthy volunteer clinical trials and help generate high‑quality data that shapes the future of medicine.

This is a full-time, rotating shift and weekends, office-based position in Dallas, TX. A schedule will be given in advance.

What You’ll Do

In this hands-on role, you’ll work directly with study samples and support a wide variety of early‑phase clinical trials. No two days are the same. Key responsibilities include:

  • High volume collecting, handling, processing, and shipping specimens (including PK samples)
  • Operating and maintaining lab equipment and ensuring a clean, safe work environment
  • Troubleshooting sample or equipment issues
  • Managing reagent and supply inventories
  • Safely handling hazardous materials
  • Supporting daily lab workflows and participating in quality improvement initiatives

You’ll collaborate with a skilled clinical team and gain exposure to cutting-edge therapies, first‑in‑human studies, and innovative medical technologies.

What You Bring

  • At least 1 year of laboratory experience.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and in a fast‑paced, highly regulated environment.
  • Strong teamwork, adaptability, and attention to detail.
  • Comfort working with biological specimens and using PPE as required.

Work Environment

  • Work is performed in a laboratory and/or a clinical environment with exposure to electrical office equipment.
  • Occasional drives to site locations, occasional domestic travel.
  • Exposure to biological fluids.
  • Personal protective equipment required such as protective eyewear, garments, and gloves.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in an upright and /or stationary position for 6-8 hours per day.
  • Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists to operate lab equipment.
  • Occasional crouching, stooping, with frequent bending and twisting of upper body and neck.
  • Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf.
  • Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 15-20 lbs.
  • Regular and consistent attendance.
  • Varied hours may be required.
