Job Type: Full-time; variable hours may be required, including weekends, based on laboratory needs. (Schedule is Tuesday to Saturday)

Position Overview

The Laboratory Technician will support day-to-day laboratory operations under the direction of the Lab Director, assisting Clinical Laboratory Scientists in performing high-complexity toxicology testing and maintaining our exceptional quality standards. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to Lynk Diagnostics' strategic expansion into hematology, molecular diagnostics, and clinical chemistry testing. Key Responsibilities

  • Follow established procedures for obtaining and processing biological specimens for analysis in the laboratory.
  • Learn operating and maintenance procedures for automated analytical equipment as assigned by the laboratory director and in accordance with established protocol.
  • Order and maintain inventory of consumables and reagents for use in the laboratory.
  • Develop the ability to recognize factors that affect analytical measurements and results, and take appropriate corrective action in accordance with established protocols.
  • Recognize equipment malfunctions and failures and take proper action.
  • Perform periodic maintenance on laboratory equipment (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly, or as needed) and complete all required paperwork.
  • Assure that vendor preventive maintenance is completed in a timely manner and that records are maintained for such service.
  • Record temperature of refrigerators, freezers, and room temperature with humidity (log the actual numerical reading).
  • File all laboratory records and maintain them in accordance with State and CLIA requirements.
  • Follow appropriate safety practices in the laboratory at all times.
  • Maintain patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Prior experience in a clinical laboratory or healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with toxicology specimen processing or high-complexity laboratory workflows.
  • Experience with a Laboratory Information System (LIS), LabDaq preferred.
  • Exposure to quality management or laboratory accreditation processes (CLIA, CAP, COLA).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
