We are seeking a skilled Land Surveyor with Civil Design experience to support site development, facility upgrades, and environmental compliance across our metal recycling operations. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of field surveying expertise and technical design capabilities, including experience with drones, LiDAR, Civil 3D, CAD, and 3D scanning technologies. This role provides critical data and design support for grading, stormwater systems, concrete work, and overall site planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct accurate field surveys using total stations, GPS equipment, terrestrial scanners, and 3D scanning tools.
- Perform UAS (drone) surveys utilizing FAA Part 107 certification, drones, and LiDAR-equipped systems.
- Process point clouds, LiDAR data, photogrammetry, and 3D terrain models for use in engineering and design.
- Develop and maintain detailed Civil 3D and CAD drawings, including grading plans, site layouts, and construction details.
- Assist with stormwater system assessments, drainage analysis, and compliance documentation.
- Support concrete layout, site improvements, and facility construction activities with precise survey data.
- Prepare survey reports, field notes, and as-built documentation.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure accurate project execution.
- Maintain equipment, ensure calibration, and implement best practices for data collection and safety.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 3+ years of land surveying experience; metal recycling or industrial site experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Civil 3D, AutoCAD, LiDAR processing software, and 3D modeling tools.
- Experience with total stations, GPS, terrestrial scanning, and other field survey instruments.
- FAA Part 107 Drone License required.
- Strong understanding of stormwater systems, concrete layout, and site grading.
- Ability to collect, process, and analyze high-accuracy spatial data.
- Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in outdoor industrial environments and travel to multiple facilities as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of LiDAR mapping, point cloud classification, and geospatial data management.
- Civil design background supporting site development or infrastructure projects.
Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
