Landscape Construction Project Manager / Estimator

Job Summary
WABO Landscape & Construction is currently seeking another individual to join our team of Estimators & Project Managers for construction projects such as Highways, public parks, revegetation, schools, & water conservation work. This is a challenging job. You will be managing multiple jobs with multiple agencies at the same time. You will be responsible for bidding through construction, project completion & final payment. We are looking for someone to become an active involved Team Leader.

We are a well established Public Works, competitive low bids SBE Contractor specializing in Landscape & Irrigation projects in central California & work with Caltrans, Cities, & other public agencies doing Streetscapes, Parks, revegetation and more. We have over 30 jobs going on, with budgets ranging from 25,000 to over $5 million.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and comprehensive project estimates including cost analysis, pricing, and scope of work.
• Prepare bids for public works projects
• Manage Construction Projects from initial contract through project completion & final payment.

Requirements

• Know Irrigation
• Know plants
• Estimating & Bidding experience
• Project management experience
• Public Works project experience
• Expert at reading plans & specs, scales, & conversions.
• Landscape (or related) degree or experience
• Know excel in & out
• Highly motivated self starting, multi-tasking Team player
• Knowledgeable with plan viewers, databases, queries

Bonus points if you have or have experience with:

• Know landscaping
• RFI, RFQ, CCO, DEWR, SWPPP, DBE
• CPM Scheduling
• Extra Work Billings
• Good writing skills
• proficient in English, (Spanish is helpful)
• Caltrans
• sense of humor
• read the requirements list again

You will be bidding & estimating projects, doing job costing, interacting & coordinating with Clients, contractors, and subs. You will be responsible for submittals, purchasing, scheduling, RFI's, RFC's, CCO's, billings, & more.

Salary 30-45 HR Depends on Experience
