Landscape contractor assistant manager

We’re looking for someone who wants more than just a basic landscaping job. We are searching for a motivated individual who already has foundational landscape experience and wants to grow into a crew leader, estimator, and project manager over time.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in quality work, and wants to learn every aspect of high-end landscaping and outdoor living construction.

Responsibilities

• Proper installation of trees, shrubs, annuals, and perennials
• Understanding proper planting procedures and planting materials
• Landscape maintenance procedures including:
• pruning
• deadheading
• weed identification
• proper herbicide applications
• seasonal plant care
• Irrigation troubleshooting, repairs, and installations
• Landscape lighting installation and design
• Hardscape and outdoor living construction
• Carpentry projects such as pergolas and outdoor structures
• Drainage and grading work
• Operating equipment safely and efficiently
• Communicating professionally with customers
• Assisting with jobsite organization and crew management

Experience Requirements

We are specifically looking for someone who:

• Already understands proper planting techniques and planting materials
• Has experience in either:
• irrigation
• carpentry
• or both
• Has experience working in landscaping or construction environments
• Can drive a truck and trailer, or is confident learning quickly

Pay

Pay based on experience, skill level, leadership ability, and willingness to grow.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
