Duties

• Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, and planting to keep outdoor spaces vibrant and healthy
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for tasks such as trimming, digging, and installing landscape features
• Support the installation of hardscape elements like patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other structures
• Perform lawn care duties including aeration, fertilization, overseeding, and snow plowing during appropriate seasons
• Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks or malfunctions and assisting with repairs as needed
• Conduct tree care activities such as trimming, pruning, and planting to promote healthy growth
• Support excavation work using equipment like excavators under supervision for site preparation or landscaping projects

Experience

• Basic mechanical knowledge related to the operation and maintenance of landscaping equipment and tools
• Prior experience or familiarity with lawn care, landscape maintenance, or gardening is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided
• Knowledge of landscaping techniques including hardscape installation and horticulture practices is a plus
• Ability to operate hand tools (shovels, rakes), power tools (trimmers, blowers), and small machinery (excavator) safely and effectively
• Experience with construction or general outdoor maintenance work is advantageous
• Willingness to learn about tree care practices such as trimming and planting along with irrigation system troubleshooting
