Landscape Laborer

Responsibilities

• Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, and planting to ensure healthy and attractive outdoor spaces
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for tasks such as edging, digging, and installing landscape features
• Support the installation of hardscape elements like patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other construction projects
• Perform lawn care duties including aeration, fertilization, overseeding, and irrigation system installation or repair
• Conduct tree care activities such as trimming, pruning, and planting to promote healthy growth
• Help with snow plowing and de-icing during winter months to ensure safe access for clients and staff
• Maintain equipment including excavators and other machinery by performing routine inspections and basic repairs as needed

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in landscaping and construction
• Experience or interest in lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening or horticulture is preferred
• Ability to operate equipment such as excavators or irrigation systems is a plus but not required; training will be provided
• Strong work ethic with the ability to follow safety protocols in outdoor environments
• Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy materials and perform manual labor for extended periods
• Willingness to learn new skills related to landscaping, tree care, hardscape installation, and snow plowing
• Prior experience in construction or landscape work is advantageous but not mandatory
