Landscape Laborer

Overview
Newberry Landscape are seeking dedicated and hardworking Landscape Laborers to join our team. This role is essential for maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces, ensuring that our clients' landscapes are beautiful and well-kept. The ideal candidate will possess a variety of skills related to landscaping, maintenance, and horticulture, and will work with both hand tools and power tools to execute tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
• Assist in the installation and maintenance of irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools for various landscaping tasks such as planting, weeding, and mulching.
• Operate machinery such as excavators for larger landscaping projects.
• Carry out tree care activities including tree trimming and removal as needed.
• Engage in hardscape installations, including patios, walkways, and retaining walls.
• Provide snow plowing services during winter months to maintain accessibility for clients.
• Maintain cleanliness of job sites by properly disposing of debris and equipment after use.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.

Requirements

• Mechanical knowledge is preferred to operate various landscaping equipment safely.
• Experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, and horticulture is highly valued.
• Familiarity with both hand tools (shovels, rakes) and power tools (chainsaws, blowers) is essential.
• Previous experience in construction or hardscape projects is a plus.
• Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.50 per hour
