Majestic Light Design

Majestic Light Design is expanding our Houston team and seeking a highly motivated Landscape Lighting Designer. This role is ideal for a proven sales professional with direct experience in the outdoor and landscape lighting industry who thrives on building client relationships, closing deals, and delivering high-end design solutions.

We specialize in luxury outdoor lighting for both residential and commercial projects, including landscape lighting, architectural features, and permanent holiday-style systems such as JellyFish and Eve lighting.

What You’ll Do

  • Meet New Clients: Contact inbound leads, conduct in-person consultations, and guide clients through design options.
  • Design & Sales: Present custom lighting solutions and close high-value sales with homeowners, businesses, and commercial properties.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Install Manager for project execution and lead the Final Reveal with clients.
  • Business Development: Generate new business through commercial cold-calling and relationship building with hotels, resorts, restaurants, and other high-end properties.
  • Sales Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a team of door-to-door sales associates, ensuring accountability to KPIs.
  • Flexibility: Work from home, manage your own schedule, and drive growth in one of Houston’s top outdoor lighting markets.

Must-Haves

  • Proven Sales Experience – demonstrated ability to hit targets, drive accountability, and deliver revenue growth.
  • Direct Outdoor/Lighting Industry Experience – must have hands-on experience in landscape or outdoor lighting sales/design.
  • Work Ethic – available to work Monday–Saturday (48+ hours weekly, with half-day Saturdays).
  • Business Development Skills – ability to cold call and build commercial relationships.
  • Leadership Mindset – experience in interviewing, recruiting, and training sales associates.
  • Self-Starter Mentality – independent, hungry, and driven to succeed without needing daily supervision.

Compensation

  • Uncapped earning potential – high performers can exceed $250,000 annually.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of outdoor or landscape lighting experience (required).
  • Valid driver’s license (preferred).
  • Strong portfolio of past sales/design work in the industry.
