Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a crew of landscape maintenance workers, assigning daily tasks and ensuring high standards of quality and safety
• Oversee landscape upkeep including mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, and weed control to maintain attractive outdoor environments
• Manage irrigation systems, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal water usage
• Coordinate with team members on construction projects such as installing new landscapes or hardscapes
• Monitor tree care activities including pruning, removal, and health assessments to promote safety and growth
• Conduct regular inspections of work sites to ensure compliance with safety protocols and project specifications
• Provide training and mentorship to crew members on landscaping techniques, equipment operation, and best practices in horticulture

Requirements

• Proven experience in landscape maintenance, landscaping, or horticulture with a strong understanding of lawn care and gardening techniques
• Supervising experience leading teams in outdoor or construction settings
• Knowledge of irrigation systems, tree care practices, and general land management procedures
• Ability to operate landscaping equipment safely and efficiently
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team toward shared goals
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating tasks and providing clear instructions
• Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions for extended periods
