Duties

• Lead and supervise a crew responsible for landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, and general gardening activities
• Oversee irrigation system installation, repair, and maintenance to ensure optimal water management
• Coordinate landscaping projects involving construction elements such as soil preparation, planting beds, and hardscape features
• Conduct regular inspections of landscapes to assess health and aesthetics; implement tree care procedures when necessary
• Train team members on proper techniques for lawn care, horticulture practices, equipment operation, and safety protocols
• Manage daily schedules to prioritize tasks efficiently and meet project deadlines
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, equipment usage, and safety inspections

Experience

• Proven experience in landscape maintenance or landscaping with a strong understanding of horticulture principles
• Supervising or leadership experience in outdoor or construction environments preferred
• Knowledge of lawn care techniques including mowing, fertilizing, aerating, and pest control
• Familiarity with irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting
• Hands-on experience with tree care practices such as pruning and cabling
• Ability to operate landscaping machinery safely and effectively
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team toward shared goals
