The City of Clinton is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Full-Time ROW/Maintenance Landscaping Technician I. This position performs unskilled and semi-skilled work involving the maintenance and repair of City streets, sidewalks, rights-of-way, and public areas.

General duties include, but are not limited to:

• Mowing and landscaping
• Removing brush and fallen trees
• Patching streets
• Working around roadways and parking lots
• Residential and man-made/cellulosic refuse collection
• Performing other related maintenance duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

Requirements include, but are not limited to:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must possess a High School Diploma or GED accredited, recognized, or reciprocated by the South Carolina Department of Education
• Must possess a valid South Carolina Driver’s License with a good driving record
• Ability to perform strenuous and frequent physical labor, including walking, stooping, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly
• Must possess good customer service and oral/written communication skills
• Work is performed primarily outdoors in varying weather and climatological conditions year-round
• Successful completion of a pre-employment physical and drug screening is required
