Housekeeper - Laundry Aide

Come join us at Kahl Home! We are a Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm since 1955. Our state-of-the-art services, amenities, and excellent staff make Kahl Home a premier nursing facility in the Quad Cities.

We are seeking to hire a Laundry Aide.

• Part-Time: Mondays 6am-2pm; Wednesday and Thursday 8am-4:30pm and Every Other Weekend 6am-2pm.

Laundry Aide Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Cleaning Experience Preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate and able to handle stress.
• Required to work every other weekend and every other holiday.
• Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.

Laundry Aide Job Summary:

• Perform cleaning procedures in accordance with facility procedures and policies.
• Observe waste disposal procedures in accordance with facility policy.
• Assist in the proper care and use of housekeeping equipment.
• Distribute soap, paper and other housekeeping supplies.
• Laundry duties: wash, dry, fold and distribute laundry to residents.
• Empty trash, dusts, vacuums all common areas.
• Clean all bathrooms, furniture and fixtures, window ledges.
• Mop, buff and extracting all floors.
• Assist with cleaning of resident’s rooms related to move out/move in schedules.
