Duties

• Operate lawn care equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools to maintain healthy lawns and gardens
• Perform landscape maintenance tasks including planting, pruning, edging, and mulching to enhance aesthetic appeal
• Use power tools and hand tools safely for tasks like tree trimming, shrub shaping, and soil preparation
• Assist with installation of hardscape features such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls using appropriate equipment like excavators and other construction tools
• Support irrigation system setup and maintenance to ensure proper watering of landscaped areas
• Conduct snow plowing during winter months to keep driveways and pathways clear and safe
• Maintain equipment by performing regular inspections and basic mechanical repairs to ensure optimal performance

Requirements

• Basic mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate power tools and hand tools safely
• Experience or interest in lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture
• Familiarity with landscaping techniques including tree care, pruning, mowing, and hardscape installation
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with physical stamina for lifting and manual labor
• Knowledge of equipment such as excavators or other construction machinery is a plus but not required
• Strong attention to safety protocols when handling machinery and tools
• Excellent teamwork skills along with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills in landscape maintenance
