Compensation:
$100,000 - $150,000 yearly depending on experience
Responsibilities:-
Preside over paralegals, administrative assistants in connection with keeping track of time records, reviewing client billing, setting up client meetings and completing client projects
- Perform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motions
- Manage administrative assistants, paralegals, and law clerks
- Get the appropriate legal documents ready for clients, such as brief, motions, and pleadings, as well as correspondence
- Identify client conflicts and determine case strategies with options for resolution
- Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings
- Provide legal counsel to clients by analyzing their needs and determining a proper course of action
- Handle personal injury cases from initial intake through settlement, ensuring each client receives exceptional representation

Evaluate liability, damages, and insurance coverage to determine case value and strategy

Oversee and guide case managers throughout the life of the case

Review medical records and bills, and craft persuasive demand letters

Negotiate settlements with insurance adjusters and other opposing parties

Communicate consistently and compassionately with clients

Maintain accurate case documentation and uphold firm standards for excellence
Qualifications:-
Prior experience working in a law firm for a minimum of 1-2 years required
- Advanced computer skills working with legal research programs (Westlaw and Lexis) required
- Decision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and communication skills are a must
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite is necessary
- Successful completion of accredited law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree with 2 years of related experience
- Must be able to handle heavy caseload with little supervision
- Must be a member of your local bar association - active member preferred
