Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate mental health professional to join our team as a Clinical Counselor in Albemarle, NC. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide comprehensive mental health services, including psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and case management, to diverse populations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral health, experience working with children, families, and individuals and a passion for making a positive impact on clients' lives. You will play a vital role in delivering patient-centered care through individual, group, couples, and family counseling while utilizing evidence-based practices and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA. Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations using online EHR platform, complete all documentation and billing to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
  • Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA)
  • Provide crisis management and intervention for patients experiencing acute mental health issues or behavioral crises
  • Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate psychotherapy techniques, and case management strategies
  • Maintain detailed medical records, documentation of patient care, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical professionals, educators, and caregivers to coordinate comprehensive patient care
  • Engage in clinical research activities or data collection efforts to improve service delivery and treatment outcomes

Experience

  • Proven experience in clinical counseling or mental health therapy within outpatient or inpatient settings
  • Strong background working with children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, or individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
  • Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and crisis management protocols
  • Experience providing telehealth services using secure platforms for remote patient care
  • Knowledge of medical terminology related to behavioral health conditions and ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10)
  • Experience working with diverse populations including those facing PTSD, grief issues, addiction challenges, or gender-related counseling needs
  • Demonstrated ability to perform patient assessments using diagnostic tools and conduct intake evaluations effectively

We are a small practice and after opening our new office in Albemarle, we are looking to add someone to our team. UNMATCHED PAY RATE! We value each other, work well together, and want to keep the momentum going! Ideally, you are already fully licensed. If not, however, that's okay! You will need a supervisor and we can help with the process, but we do not offer in office supervision. We can help you with "all the things" required to get started in the field (including contracting and credentialing. If you're ready to go though, we can just set you on your way with referrals to get you started! Office Manager is always available for billing questions and scheduling and client contact questions.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $60.00 - $120.00 per hour
