Lead Barista

ELIO Coffee is a modern specialty coffee shop built around quality, creativity, hospitality, and culture. We’re creating a high-energy café experience with exceptional coffee, beautiful design, great music, and a welcoming atmosphere. Our focus is on precision-crafted drinks, strong workflow, premium ingredients, and creating memorable experiences for every guest.

We’re looking for an experienced Lead Barista who is passionate about specialty coffee and excited to help shape a growing café brand from the beginning.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily bar operations with professionalism, consistency, and speed
• Prepare high-quality espresso beverages, pour overs, drip coffee, matcha drinks, and specialty iced beverages
• Dial in espresso and maintain beverage quality throughout shifts
• Demonstrate excellent latte art and milk steaming skills
• Maintain efficient workflow during high-volume periods
• Help create and test seasonal drinks and new beverage ideas
• Train and support team members on drink standards, workflow, cleanliness, and hospitality
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing coffee bar
• Deliver warm, welcoming, and professional customer service
• Assist with inventory organization, opening/closing procedures, and daily operations
• Contribute positively to ELIO’s culture, energy, and customer experience

Qualifications

• Previous specialty coffee experience required
• Strong understanding of espresso extraction and coffee fundamentals
• Experience with:
• Espresso drinks
• Pour overs
• Batch/drip coffee
• Matcha preparation
• Specialty iced drinks
• Latte art
• Excellent workflow and multitasking skills
• Positive attitude with strong hospitality mindset
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Ability to work in a fast-paced café environment
• Passion for coffee trends, creativity, and café culture
• Leadership experience preferred but not required
