Job Description: Lead DevOps Engineer, M&S Platform Baseline
Location: Hanscom AFB, MA
Clearance: Secret
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead DevOps Engineer to manage and enhance the Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Platform Baseline for the Command-and-Control Systems Engineering Technology (C2SET) program. This role involves developing and maintaining complex systems, leveraging DevSecOps tools and processes, and ensuring the platform’s reliability and availability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in platform development, cloud services, and infrastructure management.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Key Responsibilities:
Systems Development:
  • Relevant experience in developing systems using C++, Python, AFSIM, Web services, Database, and/or web application development.
DevSecOps Proficiency:
  • Demonstrate proficiency with DevSecOps tools and processes, including but not limited to GitLab, SonarQube, and Fortify, to ensure secure and efficient development and deployment pipelines.
Platform Architecture and Implementation:
  • Architect, implement, and configure the M&S DevSecOps Platform for both cloud and on-premises environments, taking into account the specific requirements of M&S applications, users, and sites.
Infrastructure as Code:
  • Develop and manage core platform services, implementing Infrastructure as Code practices for consistent and repeatable infrastructure provisioning and management.
System Reliability and Availability:
  • Design and maintain systems to achieve high reliability and availability, ensuring that platform services are robust, dependable, and perform well under various conditions.
Transition Engineering Support:
  • Provide support for transition engineering efforts, ensuring smooth and efficient transitions of systems and services, including legacy to modernized platform migrations.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in systems development using languages and technologies such as C++, Python, AFSIM, Web services, Database, and web application development.
  • Proven experience and proficiency with DevSecOps tools and processes, including GitLab, SonarQube, and Fortify.
  • Experience in platform development including core platform services and implementing Infrastructure as Code.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and maintaining highly reliable and available systems.
  • Secret Security Clearance required
Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong technical expertise in DevSecOps tools and processes.
  • Ability to architect, implement, and manage complex platform solutions for both cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented approach to system design and maintenance.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse teams and stakeholders in a high-paced environment.
