Teton Petroleum Transport (TPT) is currently seeking a Lead Dispatcher. This role will help lead the dispatch team. TPT delivers fuel to over 40 states for a variety of customers and industries. The Company offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
The Lead Dispatcher will primarily be focused on:
- Ensure drivers are dispatched safely, legally, and efficiently.
- Monitor TA system (Fuel Shepard) throughout the day, even after business hours for late minute changes, additions, and cancellations.
- Approving loads in Freight books for accounting to invoice out.
- Experience with Fleet monitoring software.
- Responsible for organizing, scheduling, and dispatching CDL-A drivers in multiple markets.
- Ensure driver productivity through appropriate scheduling and planning.
- Efficiently route drivers (accounting for road conditions, time of delivery, area, etc.) and minimize lost revenue opportunities.
- Generate additional load opportunities to maximize daily load count.
- Ensure the dispatching system is accurate and up to date.
- Monitor driver progress and communicate concerns to Terminal Manager.
- Oversee and execute the daily hand-off between day and night crews
- Train new team members and provide ongoing training as situations and processes change
- Provide assistance as needed to other dispatchers on your shift
- Help the dispatch manager identify team needs and any process changes for the dispatch team as a whole
- Assist with workload balancing across dispatchers to maintain consistent service levels
- Actively support progress towards team goals and help present KPIs and reports to the team
- Be flexible with your shift to help with coverage as needed
The preferred candidate for the Lead Dispatcher will have the following:
- 3 plus years experience dispatching in a commercial fleet operation or related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills and able to learn company systems and processes.
- Adheres to the company’s values and ethical expectations.
- Able to effectively multitask.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organization.
- Sound understanding of DOT/FMCSA rules and regulations.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
