THE OPPORTUNITY

LiveWell Elevators and Lifts is a growing high-end residential elevator and accessibility contractor serving the Houston metro. We are looking for an experienced Working Foreman to lead our installation crew — someone who is equally comfortable turning wrenches and running a job site.

You do not need prior elevator experience. If you have mastered complex electro-mechanical systems and know how to lead a team, we will teach you the elevator code.

COMPENSATION AND PERKS

- Base hourly rate: $28.00–$35.00/hr (based on experience)

- Total target compensation: $75,000–$95,000+ annually

- Overtime paid at 1.5x — you are paid for every hour you work

WHAT YOU WILL DO

This is a hands-on leadership role. Expect to spend roughly 70% of your time on technical work and 30% managing the job site, quality, and your crew.

- Lead the crew: Supervise a 3–4 person installation team on high-end residential job sites across the Houston metro

- Technical execution: Read complex electrical schematics, troubleshoot 24V/low-voltage control boards, and oversee the precise mechanical installation of guide rails, motors, and cabs

- Quality assurance: Enforce company checklists and serve as the final sign-off before every elevator is handed over to the homeowner — your goal is zero callbacks

- Mentorship: Train apprentices on proper wiring, mechanical rigging, and safety protocols; keep the team focused and the job site professional

- Service calls: Manage and respond to service requests as needed

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Prior elevator experience is helpful but not necessary. But you must be a master of complex electro-mechanical systems with proven leadership skills.

Experience: 8–10+ years in industrial maintenance, commercial HVAC/controls, automated gate installation, or elevator mechanics

Leadership: 3+ years leading a field crew or training junior apprentices; calm under pressure, high standards

Electrical aptitude: Proficient with a multimeter; able to read complex schematics and troubleshoot PLCs, relays, and safety loops

Mechanical aptitude: Heavy rigging, tight tolerances, laser levels — you set guide rails perfectly plumb the first time

Military veterans are strongly encouraged to apply. E-5/E-6 mechanics, aviation techs, and electronics technicians are an excellent fit for this role.

LiveWell is growing and expanding. The right person in this role has a clear path to Field Supervisor and eventually Operations Manager as we expand our Houston, Austin, and San Antonio crews. We prefer to promote from within.
