Role description

Job Description – SFMC Developer

Experience Range: 5 to 7yrs

Hiring Location: Hyderabad

Must Have Skills

  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud, AMPscript, SQL, API, Cross-cloud, Dataflow
  • Strong hands-on experience with SFMC Implementation, including:
    • Journey Builder
    • Email Studio
    • Automation Studio
    • Contact Builder
  • Proficiency in:
    • AMPscript
    • SSJS (Server-Side JavaScript)
    • SQL for segmentation and personalization
    • REST/SOAP API integrations (Salesforce or external systems)
  • Solid understanding of:
    • Marketing Cloud Connect
    • Data synchronization between Sales/Service Cloud and SFMC
    • Cross-cloud architecture
  • Experience designing, developing, and optimizing SFMC campaigns
  • Ability to drive end-to-end delivery from requirements gathering to production release
  • Strong collaboration skills with business stakeholders and internal delivery teams
  • Knowledge of SFMC best practices in data governance, development standards, and release management

Good to Have Skills

  • Experience conducting solution walkthroughs, configuration reviews, and user enablement sessions
  • Knowledge of CRM and marketing operational processes
  • Understanding of marketing automation strategies and customer lifecycle journeys
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments
  • Exposure to enterprise-grade data management or governance frameworks

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Own the full delivery lifecycle of Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions — from requirements analysis and configuration through testing, deployment, and production release
  • Design, develop, and optimize campaigns using AMPscript, SQL, SSJS, and API integrations to enable automation and personalization
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders and internal teams to align SFMC solutions with marketing and CRM objectives
  • Conduct solution walkthroughs, configuration reviews, and user adoption/training sessions
  • Maintain platform best practices in development, data governance, and release management to ensure scalability, compliance, and operational excellence
