Responsibilities
- Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that promote early childhood education, literacy, and social-emotional growth for infants and toddlers.
- Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment that supports each child's unique needs.
- Collaborate with families to communicate progress, address concerns, and support ongoing child welfare and development goals.
- Manage classroom routines including diapering, feeding, nap schedules, and behavior management strategies to foster independence and positive behavior.
- Incorporate curriculum development techniques aligned with Frogstreet principles or other educational frameworks to enhance learning experiences.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods when appropriate to monitor developmental milestones and tailor instruction accordingly.
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in daycare or preschool settings, including toddler care and classroom management.
- Ability to implement engaging lesson plans that incorporate Frogstreet methods or other innovative teaching approaches.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, colleagues, and community partners.
- Skilled in behavior management techniques that promote positive social interactions among young children.
