Job Summary
Gessner Kiddie Kollege is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Lead Infant / Toddler Teacher to join our early Childhood Education Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for toddlers, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role requires strong classroom management skills, a passion for working with young children, and the ability to lead and mentor assistant teachers. The Lead Toddler Teacher will play a vital role in implementing developmentally appropriate activities and ensuring compliance with all safety and educational standards.
Responsibilities
- Utilizing the Frogstreet Curriculum develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote early childhood development in toddlers.
- Create a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration.
- Supervise and guide assistant teacher to ensure high-quality care and education.
- Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage social skills, cooperation, and emotional regulation among children.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
- Maintain accurate records of children's activities, attendance, and developmental assessments.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, safety protocols, and health guidelines including first aid procedures.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized attention as needed.
- Lead by example in demonstrating professionalism, patience, and enthusiasm for early childhood education.
- Conduct student assessments three times a year
- Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom
- Uphold the requirements of Texas Rising Star as Gessner Kiddie Kollege is a Four Star Texas Rising Star Center
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or childcare setting is required.
- Classroom management experience is essential for maintaining an organized learning environment.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education practices, and behavior management techniques is necessary.
- Experience with infants or toddlers care is highly preferred.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional training in special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
