Lead Infant/Toddler Teacher

Nestling House, located in the Bay View neighborhood of Milwaukee, and is seeking playful, creative, caring, eco-minded, nature loving caregivers interested in spending their days with mixed age groups of young children. We expect our caregivers/teachers to work as a team in bringing our philosophy to life on a daily basis. From creating nurturing, caring environment to implementing predictable caregiving routines, we expect caregivers to encourage autonomy and independence with the children in our care. Nestling House does not support a preset curriculum and we provide meaningful learning experiences through play and encouragement in the children's interests.

Preferred Qualifications

• Some experience or interest in Waldorf, LifeWays, Montessori, RIE and/or Reggio Emillia is highly preferred.
• An active WI Registry Account is highly preferred.
• An interest in nature and sustainability.
• An interest in risky/messy play
• Willingness to meet state mandated training requirements within 6 months required.
• Passion towards natural, play based learning, interested in learning opportunities, open to personal reflection, and experienced in responsive care giving.
• Nestling House offers higher than average hourly pay, professional development opportunities and generous paid time off. Caregivers must become qualified according to the WI Department of Children and Families requirements for group child care staff (college level early childhood education, psychology, child development coursework counts or we'll help you complete a flexible training plan that meets requirements and your needs).
