INTECH Automation Intelligence is seeking a Lead Insturmentation Engineer - WHCP to join our dynamic Wellhead and Skids Solutions team. This role is pivotal in supporting Modular Skid Packages, Wellhead Control Panels, and Pressure Regulation Systems to enhance the safe and efficient operation of oil and gas systems. You will lead the end to end engineering, design, testing, and commissioning of Wellhead Control Panels and instrumentation systems while ensuring technical excellence and compliance with international standards. What You'll Lead And Deliver Engineering & Design
- Lead the end to end engineering design of Wellhead Control Panels (pneumatic, electro pneumatic, and hydraulic), Safety Shutdown Systems, and associated instrumentation.
- Prepare hydraulic sizing calculations covering accumulators, reservoir and pumps.
- Prepare Electrical and Heat Load Calculations for an I&C system.
- Prepare, review, and manage the issuance of Hydraulic/Pneumatic Schematics, P&IDs, General Arrangement Drawings, Hook up drawings, Loop & Wiring Diagrams, Instrument Datasheets and Schedules, Bill of Materials (BOM), Cause & Effect Diagrams, Logic Diagrams and Panel Schematics.
- Select appropriate field instruments (pressure, temperature, level, flow) and control system components (solenoids, regulators, ESDs, etc.).
- Ensure design compliance with international codes and standards such as API 14C, ISO 10418, IEC, NEC, ATEX, NEMA, SIL, and relevant Aramco/ADNOC project specifications.
Proposals & Estimations
- Support proposal and estimation teams in technical clarifications, sizing calculations, and system configuration.
- Evaluate vendor proposals, manage technical clarifications, and participate in bid evaluations.
Project Planning and Execution
- Be well versed with project planning and drive projects for timely delivery.
- Lead technically complete project lifecycle, from design to delivery.
- Work with other engineers, technicians, and stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation and operation of WHCP/Instrumentation/control systems.
Documentation
- Lead the preparation and timely submission of engineering documentation for customer approval.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including technical manuals, test reports, and compliance documentation.
- Develop and update design templates, engineering checklists, and standardization tools for continuous improvement.
Testing, Commissioning & Site Services
- Lead FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) at shop and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing) with clients.
- Prepare detailed test procedures, pre commissioning & commissioning protocols.
- Coordinate field service engineering during commissioning/start up phases.
- Oversee the installation of new systems, ensuring proper wiring and signal conditioning, and conduct testing and calibration procedures.
- Troubleshoot instrumentation & control issues at site or remotely and propose timely resolutions.
Troubleshooting
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to WHCP and I&C system performance and functionality.
Customer and Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary technical interface to the customer throughout the project lifecycle.
- Handle all technical queries, NCRs, and warranty/service complaints ensuring quick resolution and proper documentation.
- Support customers for all post delivery support matters.
Requirements To Be Successful in This Role, You Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- 8 12 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas EPC/project execution environment with minimum 4 years in WHCP design & field support.
- Strong command over Pneumatic & hydraulic Systems for WHCP, Control systems such as PLC/RTU/SCADA design and integration, Control system programming languages (PLC/RTU), Ability to interpret system diagrams, schematics, and code, Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Strong technical aptitude with sound engineering fundamentals.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills - verbal & written.
- Proven ability to lead engineering projects independently and across functional teams.
- Proactive problem solver with a customer first mindset.
- Ability to manage pressure, priorities, and multiple deliverables simultaneously.
- Leadership and mentoring capabilities for junior engineers.
- Organized and methodical with good documentation and reporting skills.
- ISA CAP/ TÜV Functional Safety Certification.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification.
