As a Lead Procurement Analyst in our Global Indirect Procurement team, you will:

  • Lead and manage spend categories, develop strategies and negotiate contracts for products, services, and suppliers
  • Contribute to category saving targets for multiple categories and supplier performance
  • Review and analyse contract data, business goals and market conditions to identify cost saving opportunities
  • Determine deal strategy and control all aspects of contract negotiations and cost-effective supplier assessments
  • Act as a key point of contact for global stakeholders for indirect procurement activity and develop and maintain strong relationships with business units
  • Develop knowledge of the business needs, expectations, priorities and goals
  • Help to plan and execute sourcing strategies that guarantee the most optimum commercial position for Dr. Martens
  • Drive RFPs aligned to business needs
  • Identify new services and valuable suppliers able to bring tangible value, innovation and competitive advantage for our business
  • Oversee the procurement process from start to finish, and provide improvement initiatives where appropriate
  • Regularly review the indirect supply base, provide consolidation and reduction initiatives, foster solid partnerships with strategic vendors
  • Provide regular reporting against procurement KPIs


THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART

Must-Have Experience:

  • 6+ years of Sourcing, Procurement experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating agreements
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with stakeholders
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and cross functional teams to drive agenda
  • A team player with ability to work with people from all corporate levels
  • Tenacious attitude to drive process improvement
  • Strong data collection, collation and representation skills
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills - Ability to interpret data and trends, diagnose problems, and formulate effective action plans to resolve issues.
  • Customer and service centric mind set, placing the user at the heart of the solution
  • Able to multi-task and respond quickly and effectively to the challenges faced in a fast-paced environment, work well under pressure, able to plan and prioritize workload

Desirable skills/experience:

  • Experience of working within a fast-moving, global retail environment
  • Experience defining and implementing strategy in multiple indirect procurement categories
  • Experience in line management

Technical Skills:

  • Excellent analytical skills particularly within Excel and/or Power BI

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management
  • Strong analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
