Lead Taper/Painter

Position Overview

As the Lead Taper/Painter, you will oversee all drywall finishing and painting operations, perform hands-on work, coordinate materials and labor, maintain quality control, and communicate with customers and project managers. You will play an important role in supporting the company’s continued growth and maintaining our reputation for quality workmanship. Travel will be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise taper and painting crews on commercial projects
• Perform hands-on taping, mudding, sanding, texturing, and interior/exterior painting
• Complete accurate measurements and prepare material takeoffs
• Manage project schedules, workflow, materials, and subcontractors
• Maintain jobsite safety, quality control, and productivity
• Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and office staff
• Troubleshoot issues and ensure projects are completed on time and to company standards
• Mentor, train, and support team members as needed
• Contribute to improving processes and building a strong team culture

Qualifications

• 5+ years of drywall taping/finishing and painting experience
• Prior lead, foreman, or supervisory experience preferred
• Ability to read plans and perform accurate takeoffs
• Strong attention to detail and high-quality craftsmanship
• Solid project management and scheduling abilities
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work indoors/outdoors in varying conditions and lift/carry materials

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
