Lead Teacher Requirements
Qualified candidates should have:
- Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or ECD 101
- Minimum 6 months professional childcare experience
- Strong understanding of child development
- CPR & First Aid Certification
- SC 15-Hour Health & Safety Pre-Service Certificate
- Strong communication and basic computer skills
- Positive attitude and ability to work well with children, families, and staff
- Ability to pass required background check and health screening
- Ability to complete 15 hours of continuing education annually
Assistant Teacher Requirements
Qualified candidates should have:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 6 months professional childcare experience
- CPR & First Aid Certification
- SC 15-Hour Health & Safety Pre-Service Certificate
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Warm, supportive attitude toward children
- Ability to pass required background check and health screening
- Ability to complete 15 hours of continuing education annually
Additional Requirements for Both Positions
Candidates must be:
- Flexible and dependable
- Able to maintain reliable transportation
- Willing to assist with additional classroom and center duties as needed
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Able to meet the physical demands of working with young children, including:
- Getting up and down from the floor
- Lifting 50+ lbs. as needed
- Actively supervising and engaging with children throughout the day
- Professional, patient, and committed to maintaining a safe and caring atmosphere
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- No nights or weekends
