Lead Teacher Requirements

Qualified candidates should have:

• Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or ECD 101
• Minimum 6 months professional childcare experience
• Strong understanding of child development
• CPR & First Aid Certification
• SC 15-Hour Health & Safety Pre-Service Certificate
• Strong communication and basic computer skills
• Positive attitude and ability to work well with children, families, and staff
• Ability to pass required background check and health screening
• Ability to complete 15 hours of continuing education annually

Assistant Teacher Requirements

Qualified candidates should have:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 6 months professional childcare experience
• CPR & First Aid Certification
• SC 15-Hour Health & Safety Pre-Service Certificate
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Warm, supportive attitude toward children
• Ability to pass required background check and health screening
• Ability to complete 15 hours of continuing education annually

Additional Requirements for Both Positions

Candidates must be:

• Flexible and dependable
• Able to maintain reliable transportation
• Willing to assist with additional classroom and center duties as needed
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Able to meet the physical demands of working with young children, including:
• Getting up and down from the floor
• Lifting 50+ lbs. as needed
• Actively supervising and engaging with children throughout the day
• Professional, patient, and committed to maintaining a safe and caring atmosphere

Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• No nights or weekends
