Lead Teacher for Three-Year-Olds (DCF 45 hrs + 1 year experience)

We are seeking an experienced and energetic Lead Teacher to plan and implement lessons that promote the social, emotional, cognitive, spiritual, and physical development appropriate for each child. We are a growing Early Learning Center and a ministry of Amazing Grace Lutheran Church.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for supervision and daily class functions.
• Observes all rules and regulations at our center and according to the local, state or national regulatory agencies pertaining to children's health, safety, and care.
• Assesses each child's developmental and cognitive needs on an ongoing, regular basis.
• Implements the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule in accordance with the school’s curriculum and programming.
• Plans with the Director.
• Maintains an attractive, well-kept, clean classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence.
• Able to clearly articulate verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior.
• Accepts responsibility for maintenance, including disinfecting, and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas and playgrounds.
• Attends all required staff meetings, workshops, and/or school functions.
• Maintains overall professional personal appearance, hygiene, and cleanliness adhering to the guidelines provided by the school and local officials
• Assists in other capacities that the Director, or designee, determines are necessary.

Required Certifications & Desired Experience:

• DCF 45hours
• Staff Credential or CDA (Required)
• Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of Pre-Kindergarten aged children
• Must be proficient in the English language.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Childcare: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

• DCF 45 hours (Required)
• Child Development Associate Certification or FCCPC (Preferred)
