Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Technician and Administrative Staff member to join our team. This pivotal role combines technical leadership with administrative oversight, ensuring the seamless operation of HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and mechanical systems across various properties. As a leader in your field, you will guide a team of technicians, coordinate service projects, and manage essential documentation to uphold the highest standards of property maintenance and service excellence. Your expertise in construction, HVAC design, appliance repair, and related technical skills will drive efficiency and quality in all maintenance activities.
Duties
- Lead and supervise a team of technicians performing HVAC/R, refrigeration, plumbing, boiler, and equipment repairs across multiple sites.
- Oversee field service operations, ensuring timely completion of service requests and adherence to safety protocols.
- Review schematics, blueprints, and HVAC system designs to troubleshoot issues effectively and implement repairs or upgrades.
- Coordinate maintenance schedules for air conditioning units, ammonia refrigeration systems, boilers, and other mechanical equipment.
- Manage administrative tasks including work order processing, inventory control, documentation of repairs, and compliance reporting.
- Conduct training sessions for staff on equipment repair techniques such as welding, ohmmeter use, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Ensure all work aligns with industry standards for property maintenance and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), plumbing, or appliance repair.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
- Ability to read schematics and HVAC design plans accurately.
- Prior field service experience with a focus on air conditioning systems and property maintenance.
- Familiarity with tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment; ability to perform complex mechanical tasks confidently.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating <PERSON> driver vehicles preferred.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Pay: $39.38 - $52.95 per hour
