Duties
- Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans focused on early childhood development, literacy education, and social-emotional growth for toddlers and infants
- Lead classroom activities that promote curiosity, exploration, and physical development, including teaching physical education and motor skills
- Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management strategies, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all children
- Foster strong communication with children, parents, and team members to support child welfare and address individual needs effectively
- Coordinate with specialists in special education and early intervention to support children with diverse learning needs
- Maintain detailed documentation of each child's progress, including assessments aligned with standardized testing where applicable
- Oversee daily childcare routines such as diapering, feeding, nap schedules, and hygiene practices in accordance with best practices for toddler care
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings, including preschool or daycare environments
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management techniques, and curriculum development for toddlers and infants
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or other educational philosophies such as preschool experience or private school background is preferred
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and specialists in early intervention or special education
- Ability to plan lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, and physical activities tailored to young learners
- Demonstrated competence in behavior management strategies that foster positive social interactions among children
- Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields; additional qualifications in special education or child welfare are advantageous
