Overview

In this role, you will lead classroom activities, develop engaging curricula tailored to toddlers’ unique needs, and collaborate with families and staff to support each child's growth. Responsibilities
- Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans focused on early childhood education principles, including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional skills.
- Lead daily classroom activities that promote exploration, creativity, and independence among toddlers.
- Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management strategies to ensure a safe, respectful environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum enhancements that incorporate Montessori methods and other innovative teaching techniques.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns related to childhood development or special education needs.
- Maintain accurate records of student assessments, attendance, and individualized plans for children requiring early intervention or special education services.
- Ensure compliance with all childcare regulations, health and safety standards, and best practices in toddler care and classroom management.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare centers or preschools.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing literacy education strategies for young children.
- Knowledge of childhood development stages, behavior management techniques, and early intervention practices.
- Experience with classroom management tools, standardized testing procedures for young learners, and tutoring or teaching physical education is a plus.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or other child-centered educational philosophies preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
