Lead Toddler Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a nurturing and educational environment for young children, with a focus on toddler care and development. As a Lead Toddler Teacher, you will oversee classroom activities, support children's growth, and collaborate with staff to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning atmosphere. This role is vital in promoting early childhood development and ensuring a positive experience for both children and their families.

Duties

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development in toddlers.
  • Supervise and guide classroom activities to ensure safety and engagement.
  • Foster a nurturing environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive behavior.
  • Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management strategies.
  • Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress and address individual needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's development and daily activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations, including first aid procedures.
  • Support the onboarding and training of assistant teachers or caregivers as needed.
  • Promote inclusive practices that support children with disabilities or special needs.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development related to childhood education, classroom management, and caregiving techniques.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with children in childcare, preschool, or similar early childhood settings.
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in toddler care.
  • Experience with classroom management and behavior management strategies.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR required; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus.
  • Background in early childhood education or related fields preferred.
  • Ability to create engaging activities that support learning through play.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and staff.
  • Compassionate caregiver with patience, flexibility, and a genuine passion for early childhood development.

Pay: $20.50 - $22.50 per hour
