Lead Toddler Teacher

We are looking for a kind, patient and energetic lead teacher for toddlers at Learning Minds Montessori. The Lead Teacher will assist toddlers individually and in groups in their learning process, tend to their physical needs while in care, and maintain a safe and healthy environment for all children present. Ideal candidates are lively, dynamic, and have a genuine love for children.

Lead Teacher Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Actively supervising children and assisting them through the activities of their daily routine
• Kindly and effectively mediating conflict between young children
• Planning and executing developmentally appropriate daily lessons, art projects, circle time
• Checking out library books as needed
• Maintaining the classroom safe and clean according to DCF standards
• Communicating cordially and professionally with parents when receiving and dismissing children, providing relevant daily updates, filling in incident/accident reports as needed
• Tending to children’s physical and emotional needs throughout the day (diapering, feeding, providing comfort, managing conflict, etc)
• Staying current with all DCF In-Service training requirements
• Updating and maintaining daily classroom paperwork (attendance lists, outdoor inspection logs, medicine authorization forms, etc)

Skills and qualifications:

• Active DCF Staff Credential
• DCF Part I and Part II training
• Valid USA Work Permit
• Pediatric CPR
