Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate early childhood education principles, special education strategies, and creative activities such as theater, sports coaching, and arts.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively by applying positive behavior management techniques and fostering a respectful learning environment.
- Supervise daily activities, including childcare routines, daycare programs, and camp activities, ensuring safety and engagement at all times.
- Provide first aid when necessary and maintain health and safety standards in accordance with childcare regulations.
- Collaborate with parents, guardians, and other educators to support each child's individual needs and developmental progress.
- Lead team efforts in organizing extracurricular activities like sports events or theatrical performances that promote teamwork and confidence.
- Utilize child development knowledge to support children with special needs or those requiring additional behavioral or emotional support through Christian counseling or tailored interventions.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in educational settings such as daycare centers, camps, or tutoring programs.
- Demonstrated class management skills with the ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Knowledge of childhood development stages and early childhood education best practices.
- Experience in implementing behavior management strategies to support diverse learners.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly preferred; additional certifications in special education or childcare are advantageous.
- Background in sports coaching, theater arts, babysitting, or working with students enhances your ability to create engaging activities.
